"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Cor 3:16)

For some Christians it can become an arduous task balancing the reality of difficult personal experiences and the promises revealed in the Word of God. The Bible is quite clear about the sort of supernatural abilities Christians who are true disciples of Christ should regularly function in e.g casting out demons, healing the sick, laying on of hands, making and distributing wealth. Children of the living God are to be the 'first aid' and also the final port of call for the sick. Wherever you are, whether at work, out shopping or at home the light of God inside of you will keep shining, pointing the needy to you. You are a reservoir for God's Spirit and power so you cannot afford to believe the devil's lies that you haven't got what it takes to bring change to your world. As a matter of fact much of the upheavals Christians experience in life are as a result of their identity in Christ. You are the temple of God, a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 3:16-17). So, if the devil cannot steal your peace he changes his tactics to accusation or straight out lying (Jn 10:10). Using all manner of spiritual attacks the devil will seek to convince you otherwise but the Lord wants to remind you today that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Imagine the Holy Spirit giving your name as His address? It is that simple; you are a spiritual dwelling place for the Spirit of God. Out of you should flow divine wisdom, peace, joy, healing, holiness and all good things in Christ. I have come to believe in life that you are only who you think and believe you are. You have to first believe in yourself as a good and perfect gift of God then others can be drawn to the good and perfect will of God that resides inside of you (James 1:16-17). God is not into error making or mistakes...when he made you he took a good long look, and he was very pleased with what he saw. Open the doors of your heart today and you will be amazed how much of God's goodness lives inside of you. Call on the Lord today to change your mindset concerning who you are in Christ. Ask the Lord to help you come to terms with the fact that you are a breakthrough kid.
