Faith in Christ and in God's ability to care for us is an absolute life giving and peace producing force. It's a long deep breath of relief; a calm and release that can't be found though any other person on earth or any other truth.

It's so simple yet so overlooked, 'I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is set on Me'. I can't believe how true this is, how often I forget this truth and how wonderful it is when I remember it. We're grass, here today gone tomorrow, but He's the gardener who tends the grass, who made the grass and who loves the grass....let me rest in being grass.

As a believer it's crazy ludicrous that I forget so often what I believe and behave like I don't believe. That I actually stress and worry about the future, completely forgetting that I am loved and cared for by the Master of all, by the one who created me and made me for Himself to be loved. Loved!

God made love; He is love and He has great joy in expressing love to those He made for it. That's me, that's you and that's us! Breathe deep; order your thoughts; remember the truth and rest. Let peace wash over you, in the knowledge of the truth that He prepared you for Himself to be loved and cared for.

We belong to the winner of this life. We are not children of the loser; we're not on the losing team. We're not flailing through time and space not knowing our end, or whether or not there will at any moment be an abrupt and painful stop. Our future is assured. We walk through this life sheltered by His love, which will eventually bring us to a final destination of total and complete love and eternal peace. Breathe. God has us; we need to have Him. When we get Him, we need to stop the struggle and learn to flow in the 'unforced rhythms of His grace', as it is so eloquently written in The Message.

Our future, our lives, our mental and physical stability is safe in His hands and they are big hands. Breathe.

When you know Christ; when you have accepted that He is God's Son and asked Him to enter your life, He does. The case is closed, you're in and this perfect peace now belongs to you; you need to belong to it. If you don't know Christ; if you haven't allowed Him to be yours and you His, then it is most likely that you are unaware of the peace I'm talking about. Find Him, He's not far; He's not hiding and will never reject you if you call out to receive Him. If you know Christ and you're walking in fear and stress of the future, you need to remember the truth, remember who He is in you and who you are in Him, then.....breathe.

'You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.' Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

'Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?' Matthew 6:30 NKJV

'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.' Matthew 6:33-34 NKJV

'"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me---watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."' Matthew 11:28-30 MSG

'"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."' Jeremiah 29:11-13 NLT CR
