Habb 1, 2, Lk 4:18-22, Acts 9:15-16, Ps 103:1-5
"Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it." (Habb 2:2)
Reality checks are a humbling necessity for successful Christian living. It is absolutely vital that you take a moment to document the things that God has spoken to you in the past. With an itemised list of the things that God has spoken, you are more able then to appreciate the future. It is also important to document the things that God is speaking to you presently for present words build bridges between the past and the future. If such words or promises of God are firmly adhered to then a smooth crossover into the future can be guaranteed, for God is not man that he should lie. Hence it is crucial to make out time to be still before God, to receive his heart and mind on a matter. Prophet Habakkuk asked God some questions from a concerned heart and then he did what most Christians are incapable of doing these days due to busy schedules. He purposed in his heart to maintain a stance until he heard from God. The Word of God is a sure Word; a solid foundation which cannot be shaken by earthquakes, floods, fires, wind or any other force. But it is important to get into the habit of defining your goals or writing down the vision borne out of what God has said. Many people want God to bless their visions borne out of their own desires but God's plans for his children are solid, good and perfect (Jer 29:11). God's will for your life is surer than any insurance policy and it takes care of your past, present and future. Unless you can conceive a vision, you cannot fulfil that vision. Unless you can articulate a vision you cannot attempt the vision..so get going and now define your God given vision. Your vision will empower your mission!
