Tony levels us with the challenge to give God everything

Previously we've looked at getting free from the philosophy of the world concerning money and coming into true Kingdom understanding.

One of the ways to financial freedom is by recognizing that when we declare Jesus as our Lord we are handing over ownership of all we posses to Him. We must understand that God is owner of all and that we are called to steward the monetary and material possessions He allows us to have.

Lordship must extend to our wallet, purse and cheque book. Jesus must be Lord of all or not Lord at all. Luke 14: 33 says "No one of you can be My disciples who does not give up all his own possessions."

God is the source and He wants us dependent on Him alone. He can use a variety of means for our supply but He is the source. A danger we face is by coming dependant on one means i.e. a wage or salary, and therefore make that means the source. This will limit our supply. It is imperative that we continue to always see God as the Giver of all good gifts.

The love of money is the root of all evil. 1 Timothy 6: 9& 10: It must be understood that money itself is not evil, but rather the love of money that is the root of all evil. There is only one way to free ourselves from the love of money - transfer ownership of all to God.

As we understand the above, we no longer say, "10% is the Lords but rather 100% belongs to God." It is all His, we are the stewards. He wants us to live blessed and to be a blessing.

So what are the principles of giving and what is the tithe? CR
