Tony encourages us to get into financial freedom

To live in financial freedom, there are 3 basic biblical principles that guide our giving.

1. Give to Vision

Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision the people are unrestrained."
We must have vision for our giving. God does not want us to give aimlessly. What is the vision?
The House of God, the Body of Christ, is being built today and will house all those who call upon the Name of the Lord. God calls us to participate in the building of His church and His advancing Kingdom on earth, not only through the prayers of our hearts, but also through our tithes, offerings and gifts. When we are gripped with a vision for the Kingdom of Heaven, then our giving becomes focused.
As we read 1 Chronicles 29: 1-9, we can understand from the building of Solomon's temple that it is a type and shadow of the building of the Body of Christ. Just as the men and women rejoiced in their giving because of their vision to see God's house built, how much more excited should we be in our giving in these days!
Remember, "The glory of the latter house shall exceed that of the former." Haggai 2:9

2. Give in Faith.

The bible says in Hebrews 10:38 "The just shall live by faith." Giving should never be just routine but rather an act of faith that releases fruitfulness and increase to both the giver and receiver. We will look at this in more depth in the subject of sowing and reaping.
This is a real time when believers need to become believers not doubters. Remember the bible says: "That which is not of faith is sin." Jesus many times rebuked his followers for having too little faith, but never for having too much.

3. Give cheerfully.

In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we read "For God loves a cheerful giver." The word cheerful is sometimes translated "hilarious".

When we give to vision that we believe in, with faith that our finances in God's hands can make a difference, we will be filled with joy. I believe with you for this to be your experience as you grow in your giving and cooperate with God's principles in extending His Kingdom. CR
