Jesson Kurian on overcoming fear

God wants us to be courageous and strong in him. The Bible says that we are more than conquerors and we are called to have dominion over our lives.

Many of us are really scared when we think about our future, but God says in the Bible that we are precious to him and that he is concerned about us.

My dear friends let me tell you something that the Lord told me. Lets go back to the book of Genesis.

We all know the creation of this universe. According to the Bible we see that God completed his creation in a week. When I was pondering on this subject, a question arose in me: If we are so important to God, then why did God create Adam and Eve last?

Can you answer this question? God was talking to me and he said before he created Adam and Eve, he prepared everything they needed in this world.

In the same way before God created you and me, he created everything we need in this world to live an abundant life through him, which means the finance, health, career, family and all sorts of blessings you need are already readily available in the hands of God. This says that your future is secured in his hands. All we need is to stop letting the spirit of fear and doubt enter our hearts and become an obstacle for God to do amazing things in our life.

God didn't send you to this world to be a failure. Always know that when you become a failure, not just your reputation is in the line, but even God's reputation is in the line.
That is why the Bible says that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but the spirit of courage and hope. Did you ever notice in the Bible, whenever God says, "Do not be afraid", he follows those lines with, "I am with you"? God wants his children to know that he is greater than your situation and circumstances and that he is in control of your life.

Doubt and negativism does not come from God. God loves you for who you are. The devil and the world might say a lot of things about who you are, but my dear friends, always
know that you are who God says you are.

When we look in Mathew 14, we see a story where Jesus sent his disciples on a boat into the sea. Suddenly when the storm hit, they were terrified. They were confused, but the truth is, Jesus sent them on a boat that is designed to float over the waters. In the same way when God sent us to this world, he designed us to be conquerors not losers. He wants us to float over our situations.

Do you know when a boat sinks? When the water in the outside starts coming in the inside. Do you know when our lives start sinking? When the fear in the outside starts entering in the inside, our lives start sinking.

Therefore I take this oppurtunity to encourage you to be strong in the Lord and to trust him with all of your heart.

Philippians 1:6 says, 'Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus'. May the Lord bless you. Amen!! CR
