Gospel singer Johnnie Frierson has obscure cassette album re-issued by Light In The Attic

SPECIALIST re-issue label Light In The Attic has re-issued on vinyl and download an album 'Have You Been Good To Yourself' by veteran singer/guitarist Johnnie Frierson. Read a review in Record Collector magazine, "A genuine lost classic, self-recorded on cassette in his garage between 1990 and '93 and distributed around South Memphis corner stores, the album's seven songs - all religious - are raw and piercing. It's just him and his guitar for the most part, responding to his experience serving in the Vietnam war and the death of his 16-year-old son. Deeply soulful and moving." CR
