When might we expect to see that DVD?
It's being edited right now and should be out in a few months. If it doesn't come out internationally, people will be able to order it either through our web page, or through musichristian.com.
I heard you were trying to get a job at McDonalds during your sabbatical. Did you do it and if so, what were your experiences?
Yes, I tried to get a job. I put in an application at McDonalds in Australia, and at a few coffee houses too. But, in the short amount of time I would have been able to work (four or five weeks), I wasn't able to get one! I also realised how hard it is to actually get a job sometimes! It was good to be treated as just a normal person. I didn't put anything about my music on my resume.
When is the next album?
We're having a
compilation CD (best of) album coming out in March.
Will there be any new tracks on there?
Yes, two new ones that I have started working on already.
Is it true that you pray before everything you do? I tried that for a few months now, but find it really hard, and often I find myself forgetting it or going my own ways. How about you?
Well, when it comes to my music, I do try to pray before everything. Like today in the studio, we prayed before recording anything. I pray before songwriting and before most of my interviews. So, it is a definite big part of my ministry life. But, also in my personal life, every day I am praying and wanting God to use my life for him.
How long did it take you to write your book Wait For Me?
It took about three months, but not of consistently working on it, because I was on tour at the time. My editor, Dale Reeves, worked on it a lot from his home in Cincinnati. We got together about seven or eight times. We talked a lot over the phone and I sent him a lot of packages of my writing. We used the fax a lot, too. A lot of it was written long distance.
You recently launched Wait For Me. Do you find the waiting hard?
I think it is difficult. I really feel that it is important to protect yourself from being in situations where you have to physically fight impurity, so to be completely honest, I don't find it that hard waiting, because I am very careful about what situations I put myself in where the opposite sex is concerned. I also have to try to live above reproach. Not that I am above temptation, because we are all capable of anything, but I do not put myself in situations where I would be overly tempted. I also am not interested in dating or courting anyone who doesn't share my same morals and values in regards to sexual purity.
Would you ever considering covering any "non-Christian" tracks?
Praise The LORD Rebeca, you are doing good work. GOD BLESS YOU.
