The 29th Chapter: The London rappers, previously called Acts 29, are quizzed

Mr Cummings: A great deal has happened to you since we last interviewed you. Give me a summary of the main events.

Mr Prince: It's been amazing to see what God has been doing with us since the last interview. We have recorded the new album 'Full Time', due for release mid November, and were involved with the mission Soul In The City which was an amazing experience. It was incredible to see thousands of young peoples' lives touched with the Gospel message. I guess the other major thing that has happened is that our schools ministry NuSkool has really taken shape, we are regularly accessing a number of schools in the West London area with the Gospel. So all in all it has been an amazing year! But still plenty more to come!

Mr Cummings: How does 'Full Time' compare stylistically with 'History'?

Mr Prince: I think without a doubt 'Full Time' represents a huge progression in our style and accessibility as a crew. 'History' as an album was more a collection of tracks that we had produced over a number of years whereas 'Full Time' is an album of hot banging beats produced for 2004 and beyond! I guess the other thing that is worth mentioning is the fact that as music evangelists we are constantly working on ways of making the Gospel more accessible to the listener. 'Full Time' is definitely a big step in the right direction in this respect.

Mr Cummings: Name three songs on 'Full Time' which you feel are particularly important and explain how they came about.

Mr Prince: Tracks of particular significance on the album for me would be "Majesty" - our take on the life of Jesus, not exhaustive but definitely paints a picture. "What Would I Be Like" - what would 29 be like if we did not have a relationship with Jesus, there would be ghetto fabulous exploits of The 29th Chapter. Finally "Forgive Me" is the sinner's prayer like you have never heard it before. CR
