New York's Abyssinian Mass Choir to perform in London

THE RENOWNED Abyssinian Mass Choir emanating from the Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York, who since the '60s have been famous as an epicentre for gospel music with figures like Prof Alex Bradford, are due to make their European debut on 13th July. The choir, which is celebrating its bi-centenary, will be performing with celebrated jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis at London's Barbican Hall. CR
