Songsmith Andy Flannagan to become director of Christian Socialist Movement

SINGER/SONGWRITER Andy Flannagan, who recently announced his engagement to Jenny Grove, will become director of the Christian Socialist Movement from January 2009. Said Flannagan, "CSM has a proud history of being a prophetic voice to left-sided politics, and being a funnel for Christians to become politically involved. I cannot wait! So, it'll mean much more time around Westminster, especially with Labour MPs. It is such a privilege, and the ducks that lined up to make it possible were not aligned by me! There will be a cost, but there will still be some time for music-making/writing, (which was already becoming more strategic and less time-consuming.)"
