Jazz funk pioneers Beehive call it a day

IN A SURPRISE statement, Britain's jazz funk team Beehive have announced they are splitting up. Said the band's Rob May, "We've been on the road for seven years, 10 if you count the Saltmine Band, and we really feel we've taken it as far as we can."

Beehive, whose 'Brand New Day' was a UK big selling album in 1997 and who won 1997's Mobo Award as Best Gospel Act, are planning a final farewell concert in Camden, London. For more details email houchx4@aol.com CR
