The Huntingtons to play benefit concert in Philadelphia; release album

AMERICAN punk band The Huntingtons, who disbanded in 2005, are making a surprise comeback. They will perform at a benefit concert to be held in Philadelphia on 13th June in aid of Jeannie Pierce, wife of The Huntingtons' original drummer Mike Pierce. Jeannie is suffering from stage three brain cancer. Coinciding with the concert the band are releasing a CD consisting of eight songs from their long out of print split album the band recorded with Darlington, two songs from the 'Get Lost' and 'Plastic Surgery' sessions that didn't make it onto the final releases, a track from the "You're Not Right' seven inch single and two brand new songs recorded in March this year. The album, title 'Punk Sounds', is being released by Knowhere Records in a limited edition of 1,000 CDs. Proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Pierce family. CR
