Beyonce talks to the media about her beliefs

POP SUPERSTAR Beyonce spoke in The Son Christian newspaper recently about her faith. Identified as "a devout Methodist," part of the article by Charlotte Webster read, "The former Destiny's Child singer said, 'I never mixed Christianity with how I felt (about him). I am about faith and spirituality more so than religion. Doing right by others and not judging. The thing that keeps me grounded is knowing that I'm always protected and that God is in control of things. Even the name of our group, Destiny's Child, we got out of the Bible. . . For me it is about the way I carry myself and the way I treat other people. My relationship and how I feel about God and what he does for me is something deeply personal. It's where I came from. I was brought up in a religious household and that's very important to me.'"

The article continued, "While her sexy dance routines have been criticised by some, Beyonce is confident God isn't offended by her 'shaking her booty'. After meeting Prince Charles in a charity concert in London she denied any contradiction between her raunchy approach and personal faith. She said, 'I honestly believe he wants people to celebrate their bodies so long as you don't compromise your Christianity in the process.'" CR

All I know is that I am NOT the Ultimate Judge and I won't be sitting in the throne in Heaven... And because I have sinned and am in no place to judge all I can do and will do is to continue to pray for Beyonce. Us as Christians need to unite. We shouldn't be separated by baptist or methodist or anything else. We are all believers and thats all that matters. Jesus came to deliver us and we should "deliver" the message to others. God doesn't care is we go to a baptist church or penecostal. He just cares that we have accepted Jesus as our Savior. We shouldn't let our "church backgrounds" divide us so widely that we become blinded of what our jobs are.

Hope I Can Help,

Jen Euland ( btw I'm 12 lol) godbless

she is obviously in love with god and shows the human body is beautiful but does NOT encourage cursing, sex, etc. I believe she is a good role model for young women because she is a symbol of kindess and power, I have never heard her use a bad swear word, and she has waited ALL these years to have a baby, even when her mom wanted her too, to make sure she was ready.

Absoluteley nothing against B, it's just the type of music and how it influences the youth of today, We tend to forget about God and just live our lives in a manner that fits the modern way of living. Most of the music of today distracts us in a very big way. It gets very hard to focus on the things God want's us to. This is how I personally feel about the modern music. Not aimed at anyone spesific.

This is the type of spiritual beings we need. Not these lost, naive so-called Christians. Although the whole ideal of a god is absurd, I have more respect for those who aren't scary. Living their lives in fear and shame. Only WEAK PEOPLE look to fairy tales in order to endure their lives. Good for you Beyonce!

To every person who has read this page, just read this remark:
1.) God blesses the just as well as the unjust meaning that he blesses those who are living according to his word (the Bible) and those who are not. Beyonce or any other celebrity that is blessed and claim to be a doer of the word may NOT Be a doer of the word of God.
2.) God even said: Those of you who are luke warm and serve 2 masters, he will not honor that. To mention God as reverence is one thing but it will not get you into heaven.
3.) As Christians, we are children of the light. As Christians we also "live in this world but are not apart of it." This means that yes Christians live life like everyone else but we must show the light of the lord which means being an example for others of how to live an upright life. What is an upright life, you may ask? I can tell you what it is not..influencing ladies and gentlemen to do things, cursing, being lustful to others (excluding your spouse), fornicating or having sex or sending messages thereof, etc .

Beyonce has given these messages, thoughts in her songs, cursing in her songs (purposefully), and because of her great impact or influence across the Globe she is and will beheld accountable for misleading people to believe that as a Believer of God these are the things we should do.

So, For people who believe Beyonce is notmis leading. Listen to her music and ask yourself "Is this how believers should talk, dance, etc?" Does she separate herself as a child of the light from the ways of the world?"

That is all

-Be blessed Everyone!

I agree with Elisabeth, there is only one way to live our lives and it's the right way. Most of the modern music is wrongfully used in the eyes of God. It is a distraction to all of us, to see what's right. Distraction to do the work of God, to live a rightseous life.

Well, I am a Christian, and I know every single song that Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland, and Beyonce herself have performed and written. I am confused as to what exactly you are speaking of right now because she very rarely uses profanity and, when she does use it, she is very aware of the words that she uses. She may use "damn" and "hell," but I have never heard her use worse than that. So, I guess you need to read your comments again. If you are a human, then mistakes will be made, which is understsood by everyone and God. He is well aware that we are imperfect, but He will never leave our side. It is blatanly obvious that she is a firm believer in Christ. If you have never used profanity, never judged someone, never told a lie, or never questioned God then please let me know because you are a Saint. After reading that, you should know that I am correct. Whenever you meet and talk about Christianity with Beyonce, please find me because I want to sit in the room. Her responses and statements about God are very heart-felt and personal, which is obvious. If she were lying, her answers would have been more vague, but she went so far as to declare a demonination and exactly how God makes her feel. Hmm. I could honestly say that she is brave and should be honored by God Himself for the things that she said because most celebrities would not have even given this much information.

Now that is all.
