EMI Christian Music Group Distribution becomes Capitol Christian Distribution

IN MAJOR industry news America's EMI Christian Music Group Distribution will be rebranded Capitol Christian Distribution. Said CCMG's Greg Bays, "Over the years we've been known by different names, but we are still the same team committed to deliver market leading services for our retailers and distribution partners. While we are unveiling a new name, our vision and mission remains unchanged - to impact the culture and resource the Church."

In another announcement CCMG have bought the existing catalogue of Seattle's Tooth & Nail Records, BEC Recordings and Solid State Records. The deal excludes the catalogues of artists Demon Hunter, August Burns Red and the latest recordings from Love And Death and the Supertones. Said CCMG's CEO Bill Hearn, "It's been my privilege to work alongside Brandon Ebel for the last 12 years. He's a great record man and has developed some of our industry's best artists and music. Together we have built a strong catalogue which CCMG will continue to develop and grow. I wish Brandon continued success as he re-establishes himself as one of the leaders in the independent music community."

Tooth & Nail Founder and co-owner Brandon Ebel will retain rights to all label names and trademarks and will re launch Tooth & Nail as an independent label group, with forthcoming releases planned from August Burns Red, The Almost, Demon Hunter, Emery, Icon For Hire, Nine Lashes, Living Sacrifice and All Things New among others. BEC Recordings' award-winning artist Jeremy Camp's catalogue and recent number one hit 'Reckless' will now be supported by the Capitol CMG Label Group for all A&R, marketing and promotion. CR
