Unique UK seeks to find members for a brand new urban choir

LONDON-based Urban Precinct have announced a talent search, Unique UK, to find "100 singers, musicians and rappers for a brand new, exciting urban choir." The auditions will be held at South Hill Centre in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempsted on 10th April. Contestants will be judged by a panel of industry professionals. Said choir director Charlotte Roel, "This is a lifetime dream come true for me. I have staged master classes, workshops and 1-2-1s worldwide since 1992 and dabbled with this concept for years. Now, we are pulling out all the stops taping a pilot for a TV show that hopefully will become a family favourite, like TV shows Glee, Last Choir Standing, American Idol and X Factor. I am directly addressing people who want to make 2010 the year THEY actively sing their hearts out, instead of passively watching others like Susan Boyle pursue their dreams and enjoy the spotlight."
