American singer Jadyn Maria criticised for appearance in Clairol Herbal Essences commercial.

AMERICAN CCM singer Jadyn Maria, whose debut album 'Choices' was released recently by Sparrow Records, has run into controversy in the USA through her appearance in a television commercial for Clairol Herbal Essences. Christian Retailing magazine report that although the commercial in which the 19 year old singer appears is less suggestive than previous ads known for their sexually themed humour, Maria's skimpy outfit in the commercial drew criticism from Steven Spaur, owner of Indianappolis' Light And Life. "She may want to think twice on some of her wardrobe decisions," he said. "Otherwise, I think she sounds like a great new artist and I'm very anxious to hear her new CD." Spaur said he was happy the commercial "doesn't have her having (what seems to be) a sexual experience in the shower (as past commercials have)." He thought the ad featuring her "Rock You Senseless" song was "done in a very tasteful way." CR
