Classical instrumentalists Soweto String Quartet release own album

SOUTH AFRICAN Soweto String Quartet, who have supported Ladysmith Black Mambazo on their world tours, will release their own album in the UK in July. 'Plays Gospel' is described as "a cocktail of traditional rhythms and contemporary African music." The make up of the band features the three Khemese brothers and a friend. CR

i think that the soweto string quartet is the first group that has ever got my attention as a teenager because us as teenager aren't really into african jazz music and their musicians and i think that their rhythms for beats are demonstrated in a very mature way to get us teenagers interested in their type of music.
