Don Francisco stopped at UK airport

ONE OF America's most widely respected Christian music artists, Don Francisco, was refused entrance to the UK a few days ago, on a visit to take part in the musical Why Good Friday? based on his music. The award-winning singer/songwriter, after being finger printed and held with felons awaiting deportation, was sent to Washington, connected to Denver and arrived home after 40 hours of travel. Organisers of the Why Good Friday? musical which is due to open in Poole in 18 days' time, are now striving to get Don back into England so he can rehearse and perform. The organisers have asked for prayers for Don. CR

I have listened to Don Francisco and have been to his concert since the 1970's. He is a great person and is a genuine friend of Christ and for this to happen to him is shameful on the country instigating this.

I cannot verify the comment ref 'Don would have a better chance if he were a muslim', neither can Don.

I would like to know the reasons why Don was stopped by the Border Agency which, of course, may be valid. Also the validity of a comment allegedly made to Don by one of the airport staff that he would stand more of a chance to gain entrance if he were a Muslim.

Hi Brian the Producer of Why Good Friday? here, we are still struggling to get don into the Uk. If we can't the show will still go on.

We are now only 10 days from opening night.

Prayers and support will be welcome.

I am trying to find out what the new legislation is concerning this issue and I will report back what I find out.

Regards,

Steve.
