Awards for Steven Curtin Chapman, Delirious? and more at this years Dove Awards

AT THE 31st annual Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, on 20th April it was the established names of CCM who walked away with most of the awards. Steven Curtis Chapman, who holds the distinction of having won the most Doves, received six accolades. Another major winner was Michael W Smith who before receiving three Doves flew to Littleton, Colorado, where he sang at the memorial service held on the first anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings. Smith's song 'This Is Your Time" was voted Song Of The Year had been inspired by slain Columbine student Cassie Bernahl. The winner of the International Award for their worldwide impact on Christian music went to Delirious?.
