EMI to launch new Christian music distribution Unit

IN AMERICA EMI have formed a company in order to produce and market what it terms "the industry's largest repertoire of Christian music." EMI's Christian Music Group will consist of two EMI-owned labels: Sparrow, headed by Bill Hearn, and Star Song, headed by Stan Moser. As part of the group, EMI will launch a new Christian music distribution unit to market the repertoire of Sparrow and Star Song as well as other Christian labels including ForeFront and Warner Alliance to America's Christian bookstores. Releases to be distributed by EMI account for 23 of the Top 50 albums on the US CCM chart as we go to press.
