Fire Fly working on new album, Mark Broomhead training in ministry

MIDLANDS progressive hard rock band Fire Fly are currently working on their new album with the working title 'The Funeral Parade'. The band promise "glimpses back into Mark and Simon's roots from the days of Seventh Angel and Detritus." The album is hoped to be released in early 2007 on Embryo Industries.

In other news, Fire Fly's bass player Mark Broomhead has been taken on by the Diocese of Derby to train as a "pioneer minister". The new initiative by the Church of England is to train priests to work outside of the parish structure, ministering to cultural networks rather than locality. CR
