Members of thebandwithnoname plan future directions

THE FUTURE musical plans for the three musicians in thebandwithnoname are beginning to emerge. At the band's farewell concert, provisionally set to take place at the Manchester Apollo on 25th September, lead singer Chip K will be launching his debut solo album. He told Cross Rhythms, "Five songs have already been completed and I am currently writing material with Phil Barlow, Matt Hill, Joel Atkins and Neil Wilson. The music on the album will be a departure from thebandwithnoname but fans will still recognise its heart."

Thebandwithnoname's other members, David Strafford and Leon Henderson, are forming a new project, Sinister Bleak. Said Straff, "After 'the band with no name' I now find we have 'a name with no music'! That's changing as Leon and I will soon be writing material together. The music style will move away from thebandwithnoname, being somewhere between Leon's urban influences and my rock influences as well as other styles, though it's very early days." CR

I really enjoyed you guys. It was my first time and I had a blast. Keep up the good work for Jesus. I think it's a shame that you're disbanding.

As for the Instruments question. I don't think they can, although I thinnk Chip plays piano, someone said.

The sounds you here is all recorded, as we watched the guitar player play the wrong stuff and even miss his cues! Another time, we think we saw Straff get his words mixed. Maybe thats what Leon does at the back, i mean starting the recorded songs... Anyways it works for the kids and they are still good to watch. Hopefully the new projects won't try to fool us all

Hi,
I can't tell from the article above what instruments the guys all play. I haven't seen them live but I'd like to know how they get their sound. Anyone offer any clues?

Their more vocal than instruments but they have got a drummer and a guitarist recently. They do all sorts of stuff, from pop/electro to grunge and rock. Most of all, their just awesome!
