American singer Kathie Lee Gifford speaks about new album and healing within marriage.

AMERICAN easy listening singer Kathie Lee Gifford spoke to Christian Retailing magazine about how she came to record her first Christian record, 'Gentle Grace', for 25 years. She said, "For the last six years - with all the difficulties I went through in my marriage and over the child labour investigation - I had a stack of lyrics that I had written on pieces of paper all over the house. I knew when I got the call from Maranatha! that I needed to use some of those songs - that other people might need to hear some of those songs." Gifford spoke about the turning point in her marriage, "I realised that you can never out-suffer Jesus. (Also) a family counsellor said to me, 'If you can't forgive your husband, forgive your children's father.' I saw my husband on his knees and it takes a lot to break a man like Frank Gifford. How could I not rejoice, if that is what it took to bring him to the point where he needed to be?" CR
