A new song by Graham Kendrick is a song for the Millenium and is called "This Is The Year"

A NEW song by Graham Kendrick has been published by Ascent Music with the intention of "capturing the spirit of hope for the new millennium." "This Is The Year" is a new congregational song based on Isaiah 61 and Luke 4, a solo version of which is featured in The Millennium Chorus, the new musical work by Graham Kendrick which was broadcast on TV around the world beginning on 31st December. Said Kendrick, "While the latest surveys seem to show that many people in the UK already have millennium fatigue, Christians know that there is hope for the world. The year 2000 gives a tremendous opportunity to remind people that Jesus said that he had come to 'proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.' It is my hope and prayer that as people sing This Is The Year' the spirit of hope that Jesus brought will ignite in hearts, homes and churches, renewing our passion to retell the story of God's love to a world in desperate need."
