Matt Redman wins two Grammy Awards

WORSHIP leader Matt Redman has become the first British Christian artist to win a Grammy. At the 55th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, on Sunday 10th February the singer/songwriter received an award after tying for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Song award for his "10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)" song. The other winner was Israel & New Breed with "Your Presence Is Heaven". Redman also received a Grammy for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance for his recording of "10,000 Reasons".

Other Grammy Awards were for Best Gospel Song: Mary Mary "Go Get It"; Best Contemporary Gospel Album: TobyMac "Eye On It"; and Best Gospel Album: Lecrae "Gravity". CR
