Irish songsmith Rodney Cordner talks about new song

IRISH singer/songwriter Rodney Cordner spoke recently about his latest country-styled recording "Old Dan" which is to be released as a single. "I just discovered a couple of years back that my grandfather was a gun fighter called Dan McGlaun who shot a man in Louisiana and had to flee to Texas, way back in the early 1900s. I always wondered why I loved all the old wild west stuff and I thought it was growing up on a diet of Roy Rogers and John Wayne movies, 'til these cousins from Texas discovered me a few years ago, so it must be in the blood. Anyhow, I just wrote a song about him and will release it as a single from a forthcoming CD to be released in the autumn called 'To Be Continued'." CR
