Essex rockers Electralyte decide to call it a day

THE POPULAR Essex-based rock band Electralyte, who released the albums 'Breakout' in 2006 and 'Scratch Beneath The Surface' in 2008, have decided to call it a day. Read a band statement, "After much discussion Electralyte have made the hard decision to disband at the end of 2009. Six years after our inception it is now time to hang up the plectrums and take a moment before moving on to pastures new. The decision to call it a day is totally amicable and we will remain great friends. We will be releasing the very special Bella Vista music video for you to enjoy - check the Electralyte website on Friday! Also, before the end of the year, we will be releasing our final four-track EP. Our final gig will be this Friday (the 13th!) at The Barhouse, Chelmsford." CR
