Katy Hudson relaunches into the mainstream as Katy Perry

CALIFORNIA-based Katy Perry, who in 2000 released a Christian orientated project under the name Katy Hudson, is currently getting a big push in the mainstream by Capitol Records. Her full length album was recorded with numerous big name producers including Glen Ballard (Alannis Morissette), Dr Luke (Kelly Clarkson), Butch Walker (Pink) and Greg Wells (Natasha Bedingfield).
