R&B star Jocelyn Brown working on gospel debut with producer Nicky Brown.

DISCO and R&B singer Jocelyn Brown is set to record her first ever gospel album with award-winning UK producer Nicky Brown. The North Carolina born singer has been living in the UK for almost 15 years, and had her biggest hit "Somebody Else's Guy" in 1983. Jocelyn recently contributed a song to the 'Soul Deep' project earlier this year and was a guest vocalist on Warner Bros' recently released album 'Inspirations' by the New Inspirational Choir.

In an interview in The Voice newspaper Jocelyn spoke about working as a soloist in Washington DC, "I learned a big lesson when I was with St Marks Gospel Ensemble. It had fantastic singers and I wanted to sound so much like the other singers. People fell out when they sang. Someone recorded me singing and I realised it was not about deliverance, I was performing. From that day I asked God to use me. After that he used my gift to really minister to people." CR
