Josh Doyle planning full length album, two EPs

ONE-TIME leader of hitmakers The Dum Dums, Josh Doyle, has answered fans' queries as to when he will be releasing a full length, big budget album. The singer/songwriter said, "The problem is, it is pretty high budget - we hired great players and got a world class sound when we started it and it is going to require a serious amount of money to finish it. The idea when we started seven years ago was to get a record deal and they would bring the cash but now I'm kind of against that and believe it could be possible without it - though it's going to take longer." In the short term, Doyle is planning to release two new five-song EPs this year. He said, "Both will be full concepts in their own right - just like short films lyrically, beginning to end. One will be more acoustic-based, think 'Solarstorms'." CR
