Bob Carlisle debuts in Dr Martin Luther King musical

CCM SINGER Bob Carlisle, who enjoyed a two million selling hit in 1996 with "Butterfly Kisses", has been singing in the theatre production of I Dream, a musical celebration of the life and legend of Dr Martin Luther King. The production opened in Atlanta, Georgia at the Woodruff Arts Center on 9th July. Carlisle makes his theatrical debut in the pivotal role of a pastor/friend of Dr King and sings the stirring anthem at the end of Act I, "Freedom Revolution." Said Carlisle, "I was thrilled to be asked to participate in this production. I can think of no other genre that so fully unites drama and song than theatre. In I Dream, great songs about a great man come alive before our eyes. It's a tremendous creative process-stellar writing, with an unbelievable ensemble cast." CR
