Shock announcement from Kings X frontman Doug Pinnick

IN A SHOCK revelation which has shaken the Christian music world. King's X frontman Doug Pinnick has openly declared himself gay. In a recent interview in Regeneration Quarterly Magazine, Pinnick came out publicly with some startling truths about himself and his lifestyle. The veteran singer, who has fronted King's X for a decade, said: "I never denied being gay. Nobody asked. I didn't want to be this way. I fasted and prayed, begged God to change me, did everything I could. I even became celibate and was miserable and lonely and desperate for love... But I've always been a person who told the truth. If the truth will set you free, then be honest, be true." Pinnick believes his adult sexual struggle has roots in childhood sexual abuse and the lack of a father. In spite of the pink triangle placed strategically on his bass guitar Pinnick denies he is ready to join the gay rights movement. CR
