Jesus music pioneer Karen Lafferty receives lifetime achievement award

A RECENT event in Redmond, Washington organised by America's The Worship Musician magazine, Christian Musician Summit, gave a Creative Lifetime Achievement Award to singer/songwriter Karen Lafferty. Karen, the composer of the worship classic "Seek Ye First", received the award for her "life's work as a musicianary with musicians of many nations." The award had been set up to give honour to another seminal Christian artist, Roby Duke, the blue-eyed soul singer who died shortly after attending last year's Summit.
