Sixpence None The Richer's Leigh Nash goes solo

A SINGLE by Leigh Nash from the soundtrack of the movie Bounce has been released by Arista. The single 'Need To Be Next To You' is the first solo release by the lead singer of Sixpence None The Richer. Said the singer, "They already had a song picked out that was written by Diane Warren and I thought, that's kind of weird, because I'm in this band and I don't want the perception to be that the band is breaking up and I'm starting this solo career. So initially I said no, and then I was thinking about it for a while, and I said no again. And then I agreed to do it because everyone that I talked to, including the band, was like, 'You'd be crazy not to do this. It's a really good opportunity and you should take it.'"
Nash's 'Need To Be Next To You' leads an all-star list of contributions to the Bounce soundtrack album, which also features Sixpence None The Richer's performance of 'Love', which originally appeared on their Platinum certified self titled album. Also appearing on the soundtrack are Sarah McLachlan, Carly Simon, Dido Beth Orton and Sophie B Hawkins. CR
