Rapper turned pastor Mase gets back into the mainstream.

THE FORMER mainstream rap star who turned pastor, Mase, has made a return to rap music. His new single "Welcome Back" entered the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart at number 46. Mase, real name Mason Betha, was a protégé of P Diddy and had an international hit with his debut album 'Harlem World'. After becoming a Christian in 1999 and a pastor for a church in Harlem, New York, two years later, he wrote a controversial book denouncing all rap music (including Christian rap) as "leading people into hell." CR
