Evanescence co-founder and guitarist Ben Moody quits the band's European tour.

AMERICAN modern rock band Evanescence lost co-founder, songsmith and lead guitarist Ben Moody on the October 24th date of their European tour. Moody flew back to the USA on the morning of the Berlin gig without giving a reason for his departure. Shortly afterwards, Amy Lee told British magazine Rock Sound, "You don't just do that to your band. You wouldn't do that to your friends or your family. You don't do that to anyone." Moody's future with Evanescence is unclear. The band has continued to tour with second guitarist John LeCompt taking over all guitar duties. CR
