Matt Redman is due to release 'The Father's Song' on 19th May
EXCITEMENT is mounting in expectation of the new album by Britain's
best selling worship leader Matt Redman. The album, working title The
Father's Song will be released by Kingsway on the 19th May. Talking
to Christian Herald about the album, Matt said, One theme coming up
is justice and mercy - God's been showing us that we should have a
heart for the poor and do something about it. Also, there's the theme
of the Father's heart and a song called The Father's Song from
Zephaniah 3:17.
Talking about the Soul Survivor - The Message
2000 mission in Manchester the singer/songwriter continued, We feel
that worship and evangelism can't be separated through Scripture, and
in practice we've seen them go hand in hand. So I've been writing
songs that are real worship songs, but, hopefully, will be accessible
to those who don't know Jesus - a real challenge. The whole thing's
quite frightening, but I think it'll be fantastic to go up there and
go all out to proclaim Jesus.
O An in depth interview with Matt Redman will appear
in the next Cross Rhythms.
