New group Opus formed by worship leader Dave Fellingham

WORSHIP leader, author and musician Dave Fellingham has formed a new music group called Opus. Fellow group members include Nanette Welmans, who won the BBC Jazz Singer Of The Year award in 1987, and well known trumpeter Raoul D'Olivera. Recently the group, who cover the range musically from electronically enhanced classical music to jazz-rock, became the first Christian act to be invited to take part in the Brighton Festival. Dave is currently at work on a new composition, to be premiered at the Festival, to be based on A Pilgrim's Progress.

As well as playing local evangelistic events, Opus will be travelling to Holland to play the De Bron Festival in August, and group members will be visiting Hungary and Poland later in the year. CR
