San Diego rockers P.O.D. featured in UK's Kerrang magazine

THE JANUARY 12 issue of mainstream metal magazine Kerrang! features a cover story on P.O.D.. The article, which describes the band as "2002's most unlikely heroes," contains an outspoken defense of his Christian faith from lead singer Sonny Sandoval, "How can people mock me when their own lives are in shambles? You're mocking me when you have no substance in your being? You're laughing at me when you have no relationships between yourself and your family? You need drugs to cope every day? You're seeing a therapist so many times a week, and you're mocking me because I'm a Christian? Take faith and all that stuff away and come live in my shoes and you'll see that I'm a blessed person. I can't tell you that I deserve it. I can't tell you that I followed a programme. I don't deserve the blessings that I do have, the beautiful wife and the healthy child, to be surrounded by awesome people all the time."
