Nebraska's Casting Pearls receive the big label push

AFTER YEARS of small-time gigs and independent releases, Nebraska rock trio Casting Pearls have been thrown into the UAS'anational spotlight with the release of their self-titled album on InPop Records. The band features Bryan Olesen, who joined the Newsboys at the end of 2003, but who has also continued to front Casting Pearls. The band's national release was produced by Jason Burkum and Nathan Dantzler (Audio Adrenaline, Tree63). Said Olesen, "The cool thing about Casting Pearls is that we're content wherever the Lord wants us. We're smart enough to know that getting a record deal is not the ultimate be all, end all. We're going to continue to do what we do and walk through the door the Lord opens for us. The bottom line is it's his call in terms of where he wants us to go."
