Artist Michael W Smith has opted to release another pop album

AFTER recording two successful praise and worship albums, Michael W Smith has returned to the pop format with his new album 'Healing Rain'. The album is the 18th recording by Smith but his first pop album since 1999. Sharing production credit with Smith is Matt Bronleewe and Sam Ashworth and the album features a collaboration with Delirious? frontman Martin Smith. Said Michael, "I know there are people that say, 'Well you've done these two worship albums, how are people going to respond?' I can't just sit around and worry about that. This is pop... and this is what I love to do." CR
