Home of gospel star Ricky Dillard burnt to the ground

GRAMMY nominated gospel singer Ricky Dillard had his home in Dacatur, Georgia completely destroyed by fire on 23rd January. Dillard's awards and film footage of his choir's performances were amongst the possessions destroyed. Said manager William Bogle, "The house was completely burned to the ground. It was certainly unfortunate but, more importantly, I'm glad he wasn't in it." A benefit concert for Ricky Dillard starring numerous artists including Byron Cage, Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, Dottie Peoples, Men Of Standard and Darwin Hobbs took place in Dacatur on 6th February. CR
