Somerset company Risen Records to be distributed by STL

SOMERSET-based independent record label Risen Records have signed a deal with Send The Light (STL), the UK's biggest Christian retail distribution company. Amongst the albums covered by the deal will be releases from progressive rockers The Repercussion, singer/songwriter Matt Giles and imminent new albums from worship leader John Prockter and acoustic folksters Timothy D And The Trogloxenes. Forthcoming Risen releases include the much anticipated album by [dweeb] (working title 'It Came From Outer Space', due November this year), Bosh ('Sound The Alarms', due next spring) and Brother John (mooted title 'The Sound Of Ministry', due sometime next year).

Said Risen chairman Nathan Maynard, "We're very excited that our CDs will be available across the nation, it's our hope that the Risen label will add diversity and colour to the Christian music scene. We are pleased that this will bring greater exposure to our artists and their music and we're looking forward to bringing exciting new music to people, and with STL, making it much more accessible." CR
