Midlands to hold two day event

AMERICA's latest CCM sensation, 16 year old Jaci Velasquez provisionally heads up the bill of Cross Rhythms: Roots And Branches, the two-day event to be held in the Midlands. The event, set for the 4th and 5th October at Dudley Castle near Birmingham, is organised by Cross Rhythms and Willenhall Christian Fellowship. Other artists set for the event are roots band Nuffsed, South African praise outfit Jabulani, techno pop team As If..., Sweden's Viola plus the current 3 bands on the new ICY label, HOG, WHY? and Capitaan, Australia's Stephen Bennett with the Awesome City Band, and a bevy of top sanctified dance deejays. Among the speakers booked are Tom Brock from Hawaii and Cross Rhythms' Chris Cole. Said administrator Leslie Wilkes, "The event will give the West Midlands a quality platform for contemporary Christian music while at the same time offering a spiritual lift to all who attend."
