Nickel Creek's Sara Watkins releases solo project

THE DEBUT solo album from Sara Watkins, the fiddle player with mainstream bluegrass act Nickel Creek, has been released. The self-titled project is issued on Nonesuch Records and is produced by Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones. Enthused Mojo magazine, "She delivers instrumentals in approved Appalachian mode and sings in a manner that harks back over the years, often indulging in warm, close-knit harmonies learnt from bluegrass masters."
