Sheffield's GoldDigger set to release debut album

SHEFFIELD-based girl group GoldDigger will release their eagerly awaited debut album on 4th September followed by a UK tour in October and November. Produced by Andy Baker (Philippa Hanna, The Gentlemen) 'If Destroyed Still True' was recorded at Steelworks Studios (Take That, Spice Girls) and Axis (Jarvis Cocker, OneRepublic). The 12-song project is described as "showcasing GoldDigger's evolution into an electro pop-rock sound over the last 12 months." The songs on the album were written by GoldDigger's Mandy Toombs and Beth Taylor with Andy Baker and include the single "Really Live" and the Cross Rhythms playlisted "Emotional War".

Said Mandy Toombs, "We've had an incredible reception at gigs and festivals over the last few months, trying out our new songs and sound, so we're really excited about the release of our first full album this September." Added Beth Taylor, "We love hearing the stories about how our songs have helped young people through difficult situations and can't wait to see how God speaks through this new material." CR
