Duke Special talks to Sunday Times

IRISH singer/songwriter Peter Wilson, who records under the name Duke Special, was interviewed by the Sunday Times on 13th May. The Belfast-based musician told journalist Dan Cairns, "I'm doing a job that isn't conducive to family life. I don't believe that to be a good musician or an interesting person, you have to be off the rails. There is part of me that feels really drawn to that, but I can also see the lie in it. The challenge is to find healthy things to be involved in, but at the same time, in my art, not to be bound by the domestic safety that I personally want to embrace, but, artistically, don't." CR
