Delirious?, Michael W Smith, Israel Houghton for West Sussex event

WISTON HOUSE in Steyning, West Sussex, is the location for a major Christian music event, TheBigChurchDayOut, to take place on 24th May. The event will feature one of the last ever UK appearances by Delirious?, American CCM star Michael W Smith, veteran British worship leader Graham Kendrick, Latin gospel praise man Israel Houghton, Newcastle rock band Yfriday, singer/songwriter Cathy Burton, worship leader Lou Fellingham and the King's Chamber Orchestra.

There will also be a prayer tent run by the 24:7 prayer team, a B-stage for younger bands and the J24-7 kid's team with a programme for the fives to 11s. Said organiser Tim Jupp (a founder member of Delirious?), "We're used to meeting in small groups and then in bigger ones at church, but what about when we gather together to have a large celebration? Perhaps this has been missing of late. There's huge support from all over; big organisations down to local churches. It's been too long since we all got together as a church family and TheBigChurchDayOut gives all of us an opportunity to share in the good stuff of all that we believe, accompanied by an amazing soundtrack in front of a stunningly beautiful backdrop."
