Simon Law of Plankton Records releases digital single

The Haven

VETERAN rock musician and vicar Simon Law will release a digital single, "The Haven", on 26th October. The project is on the pioneering independent record label, Plankton Records, that Law created 40 years ago. Said Simon, "I wrote this song in January of this year when I went to visit my 90 year old Mum who lives in Annedd Care Home in Llanybydder, Wales where she is suffering with Alzheimer's disease. She was asleep in her chair and wouldn't wake up. I always take my guitar with me and sing old hymns and songs to her (and the other residents too), so while I waited I wrote the song for her and then sang it to her when she awoke some two hours later! I also had my old friend Howard Reid in mind, as I had recently been to his funeral. I called the song 'The Haven' as the name of the care home where Mum lives is 'Annedd', which is Welsh for 'Haven'."

"The Haven" also features on two compilation albums being released by Plankton on 9th November, 'Plankton b. 6th May 1978. The Second 20 Years' and 'Plankton. Forty Years 1978 - 2018'. CR
